Bespoke Birch Ply & Solid Ash Wardrobe Project

A really great project all round and some seriously great skills learnt. Our client was very sure of his vision and knew exactly what he wanted, which made the design process very quick! Soon after deciding on the final design, I worked on ‘CADing’ up the wardrobe in our design software. I was keen to draw in as much detail as possible, like hinge holes, rebates etc. This was going to be a huge finished piece and we knew it wouldnt fit through the door, so had to be assembled on site. CADing up as much as possible in the software speeds up the build process. 

Of course we had a lot of prep to do in the workshop before delivering this ‘flat packed’ wardrobe to its new home in Sennen Cove, Cornwall. But once we had it in the room, it was a quick assemble and install. The top filler strips were an interesting learning curve with two angles to measure and mark accurately.

Very happy with the result indeed! And the client has asked us back for more projects in their home.

Materials: A mixture of solid Ash and Birch Plywood.

Finish: A hard-wearing spray finish lacquer coats everything, allowing it to be wiped clean.
