Reclaimed materials are at the heart of Stratum Marquetry’s philosophy. We regularly rescue timber offcuts, plywood remnants, and plastics that would otherwise be discarded as waste. Through partnerships with businesses such as Eco Park Porthtowan, Bear Furniture and Joinery, Apply Works, Revive Innovations, One Blue Eye, and Kedel, we have built a Waste Material Rescue Service that gives these materials new life.

Highlights include transforming CDs from Revive Innovations into striking surfaces, or timber from local joiners into refined marquetry blocks. By valuing what others might overlook, we challenge perceptions of waste and create interiors with integrity. Each surface tells a story of rescued material and renewed beauty.
