Bespoke Projects in Cornwall: Custom Interiors with Modern Marquetry

One of our recent projects in Cornwall highlights the creativity and customisation possible with Modern Marquetry. A client approached us with a vision for a bespoke version of our Cast surface—one of our signature styles crafted from the tiniest offcuts we’ve saved.

The client visited our workshop to personally select the offcuts that would form their piece. These were set into a mould, processed, and transformed into marquetry slices. The final piece was laminated to a shelf, which now hangs above their front door. The underside of the shelf—facing downwards—displays the Cast surface to everyone who passes through, ensuring the artwork is always admired.

This project embodies what bespoke interior design is all about: collaboration, personalisation, and sustainability.
