Furniture & Lighting > Bench Seat

Red wireframe drawing of a greenwood bench from various angles including side, top, and front views.

SEDEN

From the Cornish word “sed” meaning “sit” or “seat”.

This refined bench combines sculptural simplicity with functional comfort. Its radiused underside allows for easy handling, while tapered legs and rails meet the ground with quiet elegance — supporting the marquetry top in strength and style.

Dimensions: 1200mm (L) x 330mm (W) x 385mm (H)

Finish: Hardwax Oil

From £2,070.00

  • The leg system is crafted from medium to dark toned hardwood and contains no marquetry. The bench top varies depending on the selected marquetry form:

Stripe or Hexagon Form: Marquetry sits flush within a contrasting light, mid, or dark toned hardwood timber top.

    • Stripe: A long and short stave, each approx. 40 mm wide, intersect diagonally across the surface.

    • Hexagon: Eleven overlapping hexagons (approx. 120 mm point to point) cascade outward from one corner.

Full Overlay Form: The Marquetry pattern fully covers a Birch ply substrate, with staves approx. 40 mm wide running the full length of the bench.
